Georgios Pefanis, President
Georgios Pefanis is a senior majoring in finance at Baruch. He is currently the President of FES. Previously, Georgios took part in the Mentorship and Financial Analyst Programs. Since then, he has gone on to instruct the Mentorship Program, serve as VP of the club, and help found the Markets Program at FES. He has gained internship experience in commercial real estate, private equity, accounting and investment banking at various firms, spending this past summer at JPMorgan where he will be returning after graduation. Georgios is a huge soccer fan and enjoys spending quality time with friends and family. He emphasizes the pivotal role FES has played in assisting him in his efforts to break into the industry, and remains a strong advocate of the value FES brings to Baruch.
Denys Kruchynenko, Vice President
Denys is a junior at Baruch College majoring in Finance. He has been a member of FES since his freshman year. He completed the Mentorship and the Financial Analyst Programs, taught the Investment Banking Program, and currently serves as the Vice President. During the summer of 2025, Denys interned at Centerbridge Partners on the Special Credit Team, and next summer he will join the Investment Banking division at Deutsche Bank. During his free time, Denys likes to play basketball, produce music, and go out with his friends.
Alexis Jacob, Treasurer/Mentorship Program Instructor
Alexis is a Junior at Baruch College majoring in Finance with a double minor in Advanced Business Analytics and Communications. She has been a member of FES since freshman year, participating in the Mentorship and Financial Analyst programs. She is now an instructor for the Mentorship Program and Treasurer. This past summer she worked as a wealth management intern at Simon Quick Advisors, where she will be working till December 2025. The following summer she will be a 2026 Global Wealth Management Summer Analyst at UBS. During her free time, Alexis likes to play tennis, go skiing, and go out with her friends.
Mahira Lewis, Secretary
Mahira is a senior at Baruch College majoring in Finance with a minor in Computer Science. She serves as Secretary of FES and has been a member since her freshman year. She completed every program and later led the Investment Banking program. Mahira has experience on both the sell-side and buy-side. This past summer, she interned in venture capital at Inertia Ventures, and she now works at a startup, channeling her entrepreneurial drive. Outside of FES, she enjoys self-improvement, cars, discovering new music, dancing, and cooking.
Justin Nam, Mentorship Program Instructor
Justin Nam is in his final year at Baruch College, majoring in Finance with a concentration in Biology and a minor in Chemistry. He joined the Finance and Economics Society last year, participating in both the Investment Banking Programs, and now serves as a Mentorship instructor, guiding younger members. With a strong background in medicine, Justin pivoted to finance to pursue his passion for deal flow in healthcare and life sciences. He’s especially interested in equity research and investment banking, focusing on interventional solutions and innovation-driven industries. Outside of finance, he keeps up with clinical trial developments, stays active, and enjoys time with friends.
Julie Anikeyev, Markets Program Instructor
Julie is a junior at Baruch College majoring in Finance with a double minor in Advanced Business Analysis and Communications. She has been a part of FES since her freshman year, participating in the mentorship, FA, and IB programs. Now, she is an instructor for the Markets program, teaching students about fundamental concepts crucial to know in market-facing roles. This past summer, she was an investment banking analyst at a boutique firm. Next summer, Julie will be joining the Sales and Trading division at Bank of America. During her free time, she likes to paint, listen to music, reconnect with nature, and drink tea.
Veronica Eklund, Markets Program Instructor
Veronica is a Junior at Baruch College majoring in Finance with a minor in Film Studies. She joined FES in the second semester of her freshman year, where she participated in the Mentorship, Financial Analyst, and Investment Banking programs. She later served as a Teaching Assistant for the Financial Analyst Program and is now the Instructor for the Markets Program. Beyond FES, she interned at the New York Stock Exchange and gained experience as a Sales Consultant at a fintech company. She is highly dedicated to giving back to students and is passionate about pursuing a career in Sales and Trading. During her free time, she loves watching movies, exploring the city, and reading.
Kateryna Havryliuk, Markets/Investment Banking Program TA
Kate is a Junior at Baruch College majoring in Finance with a minor in Computer Science. She joined FES in her sophomore year, completing the Financial Analyst Program, and now serves as a Teaching Assistant for the Markets and Investment Banking programs. With three years of experience as an Accounting Assistant, Kate developed a strong foundation in financial reporting. Next summer, she will be joining Province LLC as a Restructuring Intern. In her free time, she enjoys reading, playing tennis, and pickleball. Kate looks forward to meeting new FES members and supporting them in their career growth.
Armit Dhingra, Investment Banking Instructor
Armit is a Junior at Baruch College majoring in Economics with a minor in Information Studies. He joined FES his freshman year, and has been a part of the Mentorship and Financial Analyst programs and also served as the Chair of Research for the club. He is now the co-instructor for the Investment Banking program. This past summer, Armit was a part of a program developing skills in Applied Data and Statistics, also having gained internship experience within investment banking, trading, and wealth management at various firms. Outside of finance, he enjoys playing basketball, spending time with friends, and listening to music.
Kevin Guroodat, Investment Banking Instructor
Kevin is a junior majoring in finance at Baruch. He has been a member of FES since his freshman year, participating in the Mentorship/Investment Banking Analyst Program, and currently co-instructs the Investment Banking Analyst Program. His past experiences include equity trading, venture capital, portfolio management, and alternative investment management. During this past summer, Kevin interned at Soundboard Venture Fund, and next summer, he will be joining JPMorgan on their Equities AM team. In his free time, Kevin enjoys watching football and playing basketball.
Yogesh Ramdial, Advisor
Yogesh is a junior at Baruch majoring in Finance from Queens, NY. He currently serves as an advisor in the Finance and Economics Society. During this past summer, Yogesh interned at NuVerse Advisors as an investment management intern. Yogesh has been a member of FES since his freshman year and has completed FES’ Financial Analyst and Investment Banking programs. In his free time he actively trains MMA and loves all things combat sports.
Anthony Gaggi, Advisor
Anthony is a current senior majoring in finance at Baruch. He joined FES alongside sitting president Georgios through the mentorship program, moving through the investment banking program and finally leading programs for the club through to his senior year. He currently sits as a club advisor to new members and executive decisions. His focus is Venture Capital and other early stage investment philosophies. He enjoys mixed martial arts and rowing.
Joie Teh, Advisor
Joie joined FES in her sophomore year after transferring from SUNY Binghamton. She started as a member of the former Financial Analyst Program and later went on to instruct three cohorts. Now in her final semester, she serves as a club advisor while completing her degree in Data Analytics with a minor in Law and Policy. Joie has gained experience through internships in operations, commercial real estate, and wealth management, and most recently interned at Morgan Stanley, where she will be joining full-time after graduation. In her free time, she enjoys café hopping, exploring the city with friends, cooking, and watching movies.
Matthew Zambrano, Advisor
My name is Matthew, I’m a junior at Baruch College studying finance and political science. I will be an advisor for FES this year. This past summer I was working at ING Americas within their energy investment banking team and this upcoming summer I will be doing investment banking at Piper Sandler in NY. In my free time, I love to play soccer (go Barca), go hiking upstate, and hit the beach when I can. Feel free to reach out, I’m happy to help in anyway I can!
Arthur Terehoff, Advisor
Arthur joined FES in his sophomore year by starting in the financial analyst program, moving his way up to the investment banking program, and taking a spot on the e-board as Co-Chair of Events for two semesters. Currently, he sits as an advisor while finishing his final semester with a BBA in Finance and minor in Advanced Business Analysis. Arthur has internship experiences in private equity, risk management, startup, and capital planning, where he most recently interned at RBC Capital Markets. In his free time, he greatly enjoys playing and following soccer (Liverpool fan), and spending time with family and friends.
Kaelyn Qu, Head of Marketing
Kaelyn is currently a junior at Baruch pursuing a degree in Marketing Management and minoring in Graphic Communications. Kaelyn’s past experiences include a social media marketing internship for CUNY Cultural Corps and being the Chair of Marketing for MOB. She enjoys learning how different organizations connect with their audiences and is eager to continue developing her skills through academic and extracurricular experiences. As the Head of Marketing for FES, Kaelyn looks forward to contributing her ideas, collaborating with peers, and supporting the club’s initiatives while gaining valuable professional and leadership experience. In her free time, she enjoys scrapbooking and hanging out with her friends.
